Southampton work is seasonal in a way the rest of the island is not. From Memorial Day the pattern sets in — Thursday and Friday arrivals, Sunday afternoon departures, and a month of August where the roads west stop moving by two in the afternoon.
We plan around that rather than against it. A Sunday airport run out of Southampton leaves earlier than the map suggests, and we would rather you spent the extra half hour in a lounge than on County Road 39.
